K-9 Team- Canine Search Expertise
Our K-9 team plays a crucial role in our search and rescue efforts, utilizing the exceptional olfactory abilities of our canine partners to locate missing persons efficiently. These trained dogs are instrumental in covering vast areas and detecting scents to aid in successful search operations.
Mollie and Ginger
Ginger is a SAR K9 in Training. She will be a certified Tracking K9 with North American Police Working Dog Association. Ginger is my second SAR K9 trained in Tracking/Trailing.
Rose and Josie
Rose and K9 Josie have been certified for 7 years by the North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) in human remains detection. They assist CCSSAR and other agencies on missing persons cases. In their downtime, they explore wild places and historic places, working with agencies to unfold history by locating historical human remains.
Jillian and Niya
Niya is a Belgian Tervuren with a long family history of SAR work. She is a certified Human Remains Detection dog with the Oregon State Sheriff's Association. Niya is handled by Jillian McIntosh and is Jillian's 5th certified K9. Niya enjoys freeze dried treats, wilderness hikes and being a 'farm dog' on her time off. She is always up for a road trip and loves her job. She is working on her water recovery cert and hopes to have it this fall.
Esther
K9 Esther is OSSA certified in Wilderness Trailing. Esther loves getting the zoomies on the beach with sand between her toes. She lives for the hunt and lounging in the A/C. K9 Esther retires from service October of 2026 to live out her retirement as a spoiled fur baby.
Ezekiel
K9 Ezekiel is OSSA certified in Wilderness Trailing and loves the hunt. He also loves playing on the beach, lounging on the couch, and harassing his brother Brody.
